In the Dolphin class...
Lots of learning and exploration continues to happen in the Dolphin class.
We made a papier mache pinata for our Celebration of Light.
These pipes and fittings are interesting. They are not all the same size, and it takes some figuring out to know how to connect them.
You can build up, and you can build sideways.
Here two boys are pretending they are bears in a den for the winter.
Let's park the cars! Which color car goes in which parking space?
When learning about families we explored the idea of babies. These babies really needed a bath.
Listening to stories is fun. It takes some practice knowing when to turn the page in the book.
Preschool is also all about learning about friends. Here we did an art project with a friend. We used balls dipped in paint and worked with our partner to roll the ball around our paper.
We all like Legos. We need to learn how to share the Lego people and pieces, and help each other figure out how to build things.
We got the pipes out another day, and were able to make even more interesting things.
Look! I can see through this!
Construction vehicles are always popular. These ones are scooping and dumping jewels.
This boy very carefully made a play dough "pancake" for each colored dot on this try. It takes a lot of persistence to do this kind of important work.
Outside, the music wall has been popular. We bring out the CD player and make great rock 'n' roll!
Just a typical day of reenacting what we see in everyday life.
This art project used colored tape and paint.
We learned how to cut the tape. After sticking it to the paper, we added paint. When it was dry we could pull off the tape if we wanted to to see what shapes we had made.
