My name is Ellen Carleson and I am the Director and Head Teacher at ICP. I also serve as the Parent Educator for the preschool.

I have been teaching at ICP since 1989. My background is in music and drama, from performing professionally to teaching small groups of children. I believe in continuing education and attend classes and workshops, staying current in early childhood education practices.

The principles that guide my teaching are respect, listening, relationships from the heart, creative expression, and lots of fun. My goal is to help children learn the foundation skills for future learning: asking questions, finding answers, expressing thoughts and ideas, developing hypotheses and then testing them, and learning and understanding more about themselves and their world.

My name is Isabelle Wright, and I am the teaching assistant in the Dolphin and Orca classes.

I am currently completing my education in psychology and human development, with a strong interest in child and adolescent psychology. My goal is to become either a teacher or a child psychologist, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be gaining hands-on experience teaching ICP students. This experience has exposed me to the unique developmental needs, challenges, and strengths of children during such a formative stage of their lives.

I truly love working with the children at ICP and feel blessed to support them during this foundational time by sharing kindness, patience, and love. Each day reinforces my passion for helping young minds grow and thrive, both academically and emotionally.
