Earth Day

We have been celebrating our Earth home all year, but on Earth Day we did some special projects. One was planting some Skyscraper Sunflower seeds.

First we made newspaper pots. Then we filled them with soil, and poked in a seed. Then we watered them. We will plant them in front of our school, and hopefully the climbing nasturtiums will climb up their giant stems.

The Orcas went on a nature scavenger hunt.

They each had a list to "read" and mark off, and a bag to collect their treasures. 

Then they had to work as a team to create a nature person from what they had found. This was very hard for them to do, but didn't they turn out great?
