The Dolphins Learn About Fire Safety

We always start our school year learning about how to be safe. This covers things like holding a grown up's hand in the parking lot, buckling your seatbelt, and what to do if your smoke alarm goes off. We practice getting outside to our safe place. And we learn how the fire fighters help keep us safe.

We visit the fire station to learn what the fire fighter's do.

We get to explore the trucks, which are so big!

And our friendly fire fighter, here Fire Fighter Carol, shows us how she gets her gear on. We learn she is not scary when she is dressed like this, and that she is ready to help us. We will continue to practice fire drills at school, and at home, too.
