A Day at the Farm

Teacher Ellen
The day started out very wet. Would we make it to the farm? And then, just before class, the sun came out and it was a glorious afternoon! The Dolphin Farmers are ready to work on the farm!

We fed the horses. Teacher Kim taught us how a horse says hello: he bumps his nose against another horses nose. So, we fist bumped with the horses noses. Lucky, the farm dog, loves to chase the frisbee, and a dad had accidentally thrown it so it went into the horse pasture. Inbetween eating carrots from our hands, the horses put thier ears back and shooed away Lucky. It was a long time before he got the firsbee.

The geese honked their hello, and swam across the pond with some ducks.

Teacher Kim caught a pretty little frog alongside the creek.

Oh! Driving a tractor is hard work (even if it's not moving)!

This farm has a sword in a stone. We tried to pull it out to see who would be the king or queen. No matter how hard we pulled, we couldn't get it out!

We fed the chickens. The peacock had his tail opened wide.

The llamas were very funny! They have big, goofy teeth, and soft brown eyes.

We had a picnic snack in the sun on the grass. Even the little brothers and sisters had fun! It was a wonderful day!
