Grandparent's Day
As a part of learning about families, we invite our grandparents to come to school. It is interesting to go around the circle and share what we like(d) to do as children. Here some grandparents are teaching the kids how to play marbles.
It is fun to watch grandparents at play!
Many granparents remembered playing hop scotch, so we tried it!
We sat with our grandparent and found things we both liked in magazines. This gave us an opportunity to talk about the kinds of things we like together.
Many grandparents could not remember the last time they painted at the easel. We set up the child's paper alongside the grandparent's paper. Some lovely pictures were painted together!
It was great having lots of adults to share stories with.
Look what Grandpa can do!
Look what we can do together!
Even Daddy played at school. Look at this yummy hamburger Daddy put on his picture.
More stories, and snuggles with Grandma.
Then we shared snack, and frosted cookies. It was a wonderful day!
