All About The Kids

At Island Cooperative Preschool, it's all about the kids.

It's about what's best for them and their all-around development: social, emotional, physical and intellectual.  Fostering that growth is what our program was founded on back in 1971 and it's still our core philosophy today.

Part of that philosophy means not only educating our children, but also ourselves on how to be the best parents we can be.  Our teachers are regularly exposed to the latest in childhood development research, trends and techniques – information that's passed on to us parents as part of our own learning experience.

Much of that learning comes in the classroom.  That's because, as parents, we're involved in class.  From ages 1 through 5, we explore our world with our kids.  We help with art, science, inside and outside play, circle time and, of course, snacks!  Our school is a place where we, as parents, have the rare opportunity to be an integral part of our children's education.

It's for these reasons (and a few dozen more) that we love our school. We invite you to browse our site, stop by for a visit and, hopefully, become a part of our growing family.

Island Cooperative Preschool welcomes students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
