May in the Dolphin Class
Lots of fun, exploration, and play has been going on in the Dolphin class. Look at this "window zoo" a couple of children made. They have done this several times, perfecting their method.
We have been spending a lot of class time doing things outside. Here we are painting bubble wrap and making resist prints.
We also made a crystal garden, using sponges, bluing, ammonia and salt. It has been a fascinating eperiment!
We have enjoyed the magic sand in the texture table.
Here one little girl started a pattern using the jewels and hearts.
She was joined by a couple of other girls who expanded the pattern.
In our study of sea life we created a beach. First we put sand on the bottom, and then we added shells and rocks and plastic sea creatures. Then we added water.
The sandy water was hard to see through, and so many sea creatures were hiding. It was challenging and fun.
