Celebrating Spring!

Teacher Ellen
It has been a lovely spring! We have made many flower gardens in our green playdough.

We have even made flower gardens large enough to lie down in!

On the first day of spring we made Spring Crowns.

We did our own variation on medieval Morris Dancers and wore our crowns outside to wake up the earth.

Some classes took bells and chanted loudly as we woke up the earth around us.

The Sea Otters had magic wands, and they went through the Wildlife Sanctuary and woke up the growing things there.

We have had some warm, sunny days when we held class outside. Here a group used the recycled rain gitters to create a ball run.

It was fun for the children and the parents!

We observed flowering branches and created our own.

And the Mud Kitchen was open for business, this time as a restaurant.

Yummy!
